- Learning Centres at Vancouver Island University provide personal, one-on-one assistance to help you prepare for the assessment

Where can I write the assessment?
- Entrance assessments for most programs can be written at the Cowichan campus.
How do I arrange a testing date?
- Assessments are scheduled frequently and you must call ahead to book a space.
I can't go to Duncan or Nanaimo to write the assessment. What can I do?
What do I bring to the assessment?
- You must bring government picture ID (driver's license or BC ID), pen and pencil; no dictionaries are allowed. Some assessments allow you to use a calculator - details are posted for the assessment you will be writing.
What should I study before writing the assessment?

When do I get my results?
- The assessment is marked before you leave. If you do not meet the required scores on your program assessment, you may schedule to re-write that section after one month of study. If you do not meet the required score after a rewrite, adult upgrading is recommended. See an Education Counsellor at Student Affairs for more details.
